What ProSignature is

ProSignature is a free email signature generator for Gmail, Outlook and Apple Mail. You enter your work email, it pulls your logo and brand colours from your website, and you pick from 13 email-safe templates with a live preview of how the signature will look in a real message. Signatures we generate carry no watermark on any plan โ€” there is nothing to unlock.

This extension is the Gmail delivery method. For Outlook and Apple Mail, ProSignature gives you clean copy-paste HTML instead, and companies can deploy one locked brand design across a team. The free plan needs no credit card; paid plans add premium templates and team features, not watermark removal.

Three steps, about two minutes

  1. Add it to Chrome from the button above. That opens our official Chrome Web Store listing โ€” one click, no files to download and nothing to unzip.
  2. Open your signature on prosignature.co once. The extension picks it up from that page by itself โ€” there is nothing to click and no account to connect.
  3. Open Gmail and hit Compose. Your signature is already at the bottom of the message. It works in replies and forwards too, and it is added exactly once.

What the extension can and can't do

It asks for no Google permission at all. The signature is written into the compose window in your own browser, the way you would type it โ€” so there is no sign-in, no consent screen, and nothing for Google to approve. Your signature is stored locally in the browser and read from your own ProSignature page; we never receive a copy of your mail, and the extension cannot read, send or delete it.

It puts signatures into Gmail, including Google Workspace accounts on a custom domain. It does not install into Outlook or Apple Mail โ€” Microsoft and Apple offer no equivalent โ€” so for those, use the copy-and-paste method on your signature's Install step, which takes about the same time.

Optional: make it permanent in Gmail's settings

The steps above cover Gmail in this browser. If you also want the signature saved into Gmail's own settings โ€” so it appears on your phone and in any browser you sign into โ€” open the Install step on your signature and choose โšก Connect Gmail. That route asks for exactly one Google permission, gmail.settings.basic, which lets us write the signature and nothing else.

This is an upgrade, not a requirement. Skip it and the extension still works everywhere you compose in this browser.

If Google shows an "unverified app" screen on that optional step: it is Google's review gate on the Gmail permission, not a problem with your account. Choose Advanced โ†’ Go to ProSignature to continue โ€” or simply skip it, since the extension already works without it.
