Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 18, 2026 · Applies to prosignature.co and the ProSignature Chrome extension
ProSignature helps you design a professional email signature and install it into your email client. This policy explains what information we handle, why, and the choices you have. The short version: we collect the minimum needed to run the product, we don't sell your data, and the Chrome extension touches exactly one thing in your Google account — your Gmail signature setting.
Information you give us
- Account details — your email address and a password, used to create and secure your account.
- Signature content — the name, title, contact details, images, links and design choices you put into your signature.
- Company details — your company name, domain, brand colors and social links, and (on team plans) the employee names and email addresses an admin adds.
Information collected automatically
- Brand import — when you enter your work email, we fetch publicly available information from your company's website (logo, colors, social links) to pre-fill your brand kit. This reads only public pages.
- Basic usage data — standard technical logs needed to operate and secure the service.
The Chrome extension and your Google account
The ProSignature Chrome extension does one job: it writes the signature you designed into your Gmail signature setting, so you don't have to copy-paste.
- It requests Google authorization for a single scope — gmail.settings.basic — which allows managing basic Gmail settings such as your signature. It cannot read your email.
- Authorization happens directly between your browser and Google. Your Google password is never seen by ProSignature, and the access token stays in your browser — it is not sent to our servers.
- The extension stores your signature locally in your browser so it can re-apply it when you ask.
- ProSignature's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements: Google user data is used only to provide the signature-installation feature you requested, is not transferred to third parties except as necessary to provide that feature, and is never used for advertising.
What we don't do
- We don't sell or rent your personal information.
- We don't read your email. The extension's permission covers signature settings, not messages.
- We don't use your data for advertising.
Where your data lives
Account, brand, employee and signature data is stored with our hosting and database providers (currently Netlify and Supabase), protected by industry-standard security. Data is retained while your account is active; delete your account and we delete the associated data within a reasonable period, except where the law requires otherwise.
Your choices
- Edit or delete your signature, brand and employee data at any time from your account.
- Revoke the extension's Google authorization at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions, or simply remove the extension.
- To request account deletion or a copy of your data, contact us.
