Email Signature Icon Generator

Pick your platforms, style and brand colour — download transparent PNG icons sized for email, or copy the HTML. Everything runs in your browser.

How to use these icons in your signature

  1. Pick two to four platforms. More icons means fewer clicks on the one that matters — for B2B that is usually LinkedIn plus one.
  2. Choose a style. Solid reads strongest at small sizes; outline is quieter and suits minimal signatures; plain glyphs disappear into the text in the best way.
  3. Match your brand. Brand colours are recognisable; a single accent colour looks more designed. Both are defensible — just be consistent.
  4. Download and host. PNGs export at 3× for retina. Upload them somewhere public over HTTPS; email clients cannot read files from your computer.
  5. Copy the HTML and replace each placeholder with your hosted image URL and your profile link.

If steps 4 and 5 sound like a chore, that is exactly the part ProSignature removes: pick the socials, and the icons are generated, hosted, sized and installed into Gmail in one click.

Questions

Do I need to host these icons somewhere?

Yes. Email clients cannot display an image that lives on your computer, so every icon needs a public HTTPS URL. Download the PNGs, upload them to your website or any image host, then point the HTML at those URLs. If you would rather skip all of that, building your signature with ProSignature hosts the icons for you.

What size should email signature icons be?

Display them at 16-32px wide. Export at 2-3x that (this tool downloads at 3x) so they stay sharp on retina screens, then set the width and height attributes to the display size in the HTML.

Should I use PNG or SVG for signature icons?

PNG. Outlook and several mobile clients do not render SVG in email reliably. Transparent PNG at 3x is the safe choice.

Why are my signature icons not showing up?

Usually the image is not on a public HTTPS URL, or the recipient's client blocks remote images until they click 'show images'. Always add alt text so the platform name is readable either way. See our guide on signature images not showing.

How many social icons should an email signature have?

Two to four. Every extra icon dilutes the click you actually want — pick the platforms you are genuinely active on. For B2B that is usually LinkedIn plus one.
