A Gmail signature generator that finishes the job

Most generators hand you a block of HTML and wish you luck. This one imports your brand from your website, builds an email-safe signature, and puts it into Gmail for you — with no sign-in and no Google permission.

What "generator" usually leaves out

Generating the signature is the easy half. The half that goes wrong is getting it into Gmail intact. Gmail's signature box keeps only inline-styled HTML, so a design pasted out of a page builder or a document arrives with its spacing collapsed, its logo detached and its links flattened into plain text. That is why so many people end up with a signature that looked right in the preview and wrong in the sent mail.

ProSignature closes that gap in two ways, and you can pick either. The free Chrome extension inserts the finished signature into each Gmail compose window in your own browser — nothing is pasted, so nothing can be mangled. Or you can connect your Google account once and have the signature written into Gmail's own settings, which also makes it appear on your phone.

How the generator builds your signature

  1. Enter your work email. ProSignature reads the domain and pulls your logo, brand colours and social links from your own website. You start from something that already looks like your company instead of an empty form.
  2. Pick one of 13 templates. All of them are email-safe and inline-styled. Add a photo, a call-to-action button or a promo banner, and watch it render in a live Gmail preview as you edit.
  3. Put it in Gmail. Add the free Chrome extension and your signature appears at the bottom of every compose window, replies and forwards included, exactly once. No sign-in, no consent screen.
  4. Optional: make it permanent. Connect your Google account and the signature is also saved into Gmail's own settings, so it follows you to mobile and to any other browser.

The permission question, answered plainly

This is the part people are right to be careful about, so here is the whole picture. The default path asks for no Google permission at all. The extension writes into the compose window the way you would type it — there is nothing for Google to approve, and no consent screen appears.

The optional "save into Gmail's settings" route is the only place a Google sign-in is involved. It requests gmail.settings.basic, which manages settings such as your signature, plus your account email so we know which account to write to. Neither grants access to message content: ProSignature cannot read, send or delete your mail. If you would rather not connect anything, skip it — the extension already works.

Free means free here

The free plan produces a finished signature with no watermark and no credit line. There is no badge to remove, because we never add one — what you design is exactly what your recipients see.

That is not the norm in this category, and it is worth checking before you invest an hour in any generator: several well-known tools brand the free tier and charge to remove it. Our watermark comparison lists which ones do, with each vendor's own pricing page cited.

Paid plans are currently a preview while billing is being finished, so nothing is charged today. The free plan is not a trial — it stays free.

Made for people who send their own email

If you are a small business owner, a freelancer or a solo professional, your signature is doing work a marketing site cannot: it reaches people who already replied to you. That is why the generator leads with your brand import and a call-to-action button rather than a wall of styling controls.

Working in a specific field? The profession guides cover what actually belongs in a signature for accountants, real estate agents, lawyers, therapists and others — including the details people regret adding.

Common questions

Is this Gmail signature generator free?

Yes. You can design a signature and install it into Gmail on the free plan, and the free plan carries no watermark and no credit line.

Does it add a watermark to free signatures?

No. ProSignature adds nothing to the signature it generates.

Do I have to give it access to my Gmail?

No. The default route is the free Chrome extension, which needs no sign-in and no Google permission. Connecting your Google account is optional and uses one narrow settings scope that cannot read, send or delete mail.

Will the signature work on my phone?

The extension covers Gmail in that browser. For mobile, use the optional Google connect step so the signature lives in Gmail's own settings.

Can I use it for Outlook or Apple Mail?

Yes, by copy-and-paste — Microsoft and Apple have no equivalent API. The generator gives you clean inline-styled HTML for both.
